Matt Spahr VCU Sculpture + Extended Media alum 2007, and Valerie Molnar VCU Painting & Printmaking alum 2008, of People Via Plants create small batch slip cast ceramic planters and mugs in their home studios on the southside of Richmond, Virginia. People Via Plants was born out of a 10 day project at 1708 Gallery in 2015 aimed at helping people with their ailing houseplants. Since then their aim has stayed true to help people thrive with plants by offering advice, plants, and planters alike.
Matt Spahr and Valerie Molnar want to help people help their plants help their people. They approach plant care through self care by practicing awareness before watering, meditating while aerating, and slowing down to enjoy the symbiotic relationship between people and their plants.
“We are beyond excited to team up with Pomona Plants and Syd the Yogini for workshops that will help people care for themselves and their plants alike. When you sign up for both workshops get a special 10% discount on any item offered at our trunk show!”
